Library Help: Office For Open Research

The Library manages institutional funds to support and enable Gold Open Access (OA) publication.  

The following OA funds are currently available for eligible research outputs: 

1. UKRI OA block grant (for papers acknowledging funding from AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC, MRC, NERC, STFC or Innovate UK).

2. The Wellcome Trust OA block grant.

3. Cancer Research UK (CRUK) OA block grant. 

4. British Heart Foundation (BHF) OA block grant.

5. University OA Fund.

These funds are allocated to the University to enable researchers to publish articles Gold OA.

The Library does not manage OA funding for the following organisations: 

• NIHR.

• ERC. 

• Versus Arthritis.

If you acknowledge funding from any of these organisations, you should liaise directly with your funder to explore your Open Access funding options.
