SDC Platinum is available as an add-on to LSEG Refinitiv Workspace, in the web version, desktop version and Excel version. You need to register for an LSEG MyAccount (MyRefintiv) ID, then you will have access to all Workspace features until the end of the month (to be confirmed). If you have problems with the MyAccount permissions, please contact us.

Accessing the web version of SDC Platinum

1. Register for a MyAccount ID.
2. Go to LSEG Workspace (web version).
   • Direct link: https://workspace.refinitiv.com/web 
3. In the top search box enter SDC to launch the SDC Platinum App.

Accessing the desktop version of SDC Platinum

1. Register for a MyAccount ID.
2. Log onto a computer with LSEG Refinitiv Workspace
   • (any PC in the Eddie Davies Finance Zone).
3. In the Start menu, in the 'Refinitiv' folder, search for 'Refinitiv Workspace' and click.
4. Sign into Workspace with the MyAccount ID.
5. In the top search box enter SDC to launch the SDC Platinum App.

Staff and PGR candidates can install Workspace to their University Windows PC using the Software Center. There is a version of Workspace for macOS too, without the Excel add-in.

Heritage or standalone SDC Platinum (old version, withdrawn)

The legacy, standalone version of SDC Platinum was withdrawn globally in late 2023, after 30 years. See our old online resource about how to use legacy SDC Platinum, for reference only.
