What services do you offer for research metrics, research intelligence and research indicators?

Answer

The Office for Open Research, Research Indicators service is dedicated to helping you gain deeper insights into the impact of research across various contexts. Our services combine traditional bibliometric analyses with innovative approaches that leverage the growing wealth of research metadata.

The work we undertake has two primary objectives:

  1. To provide the University of Manchester with access to the best range of research intelligence products and data.

  1. To offer our expertise in using and interpreting data through our bespoke analysis service to all members of the University of Manchester community.

Our approach

We focus on delivering services that:

  • Utilise traditional citation-based analyses (bibliometrics)

  • Employ intelligent methods to identify trends, patterns, developments, and research collaboration opportunities

  • Incorporate innovative products to provide you with access to the latest developments in research intelligence. Recent acquisitions to our suite of resources include:

  • Scite: Featuring supported citations for more nuanced understanding of citation context
