How do I get information on venture capital firms?


Using SDC Platinum, you can search for historical data on venture capital (VC) firms, including investment stage data at the time of the transaction.

  • Launch SDC Platinum.
  • Select the 'VentureXpert' tab.
  • In 'Industry Resources' select 'Firms'. 
  • Continue your search as usual in SDC Platinum, for example, select the 'Firm Nation' as 'UK'.
  • There is no data on historic changes of investment stage preferences.

Performance data is in a different data set. Start a new search 

  • Select the 'VentureXpert' tab.
  • In 'Industry Statistics' select 'Performance'. 
  • You can find aggregate data using the standard reports. There is no data at investment or fund level.
