Where can I find information on mutual funds?


In Bloomberg, to create a ‘Fund Performance Chart’ that compares returns of funds across various time period, type ‘FPC’ and press Enter.

  • Choose ‘99) Fund Family’ to search for specific funds, for example, ‘Vanguard’. In the ‘Search All Families’ search box type ‘Vanguard’. Select ‘Vanguard Funds/USA’ from the list of fund families.
  • Click on a fund name to get more information.
  • To use the ‘Fund Search Engine’ that screens for funds based on specific search criteria type ‘FSRC’ and press Enter.

CRSP via WRDS  has historical information on total net assets, net asset value (NAV) and similar. Go to WRDS and click on ‘CRSP’. Select ‘Mutual Funds’.

In Datastream, search in the ‘Unit Trusts’ data category.  

Refinitiv Eikon has the SEC filings of mutual funds, including their prospectuses.
