How can I find out which companies issue preferred shares of stock?


In Refinitiv:

  1. Search for the 'Screener' app.
  2. Set the 'Universe' to 'Deals' and the 'Asset Class' to 'Equity'.
  3. Click in the 'Add Filter' box and type 'Security Type'; after the 'Include' option, type 'preferred' and select all 199 matching choices which contain that word then click 'Done'.
  4. Continue with the search. 

In Bloomberg, type ‘SECF PFD’ and press Enter to search for “preferred shares”.
