You can use EDINA Digimap to browse Ordinance Survey maps (current and historical), you can mark them up and export in various formats (see this guide to Digimap Roam).
If you want to illustrate over Open Street Map or your own digitised maps, you can use QGIS (open source) or ArcGIS (proprietary) tools to mark up or overlay your own data with coordinates. (Maybe you already have property boundaries as shapefiles or GeoJSON files.) For staff and PGR candidates, you can install either. We suggest QGIS is easier to start, and you can install it on your own personal laptop (it is smaller and free). For other students, some cluster PCs may have the software available.
