How do I get help using or installing NVivo?

We can offer the following limited support for NVivo.

Installing NVivo:

The software page on our Data & Statistics subject guide includes links to help installing NVivo. You may be asked to log in after clicking on of these links, then get taken to the Support Centre homepage. If so, go back and click on the link again to make sure you get to the correct page.
You will need to be using the University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to download the licence codes for NVivo 12.
The Digital Support Services team can help with student IT support.
University staff can contact IT Services for further help.

Using NVivo:

The software page on our Data & Statistics subject guide includes links to help using NVivo. This includes our online resources and some other recommendations. For example, the getting started guide (video) and support centre (knowledgebase) from QSR.
The Library does not currently offer one-to-one support for using NVivo. You may need to refer back to any lecture notes or ask for help from peers. Some schools offer dedicated statistics drop-in sessions.
Staff Learning & Development provide access to LinkedIn Learning for staff, including videos on NVivo.
Search the University training catalogue for titles such as 'Two Day NViVO Course' and 'An introduction to qualitative data collection and analysis'.
Researchers may wish to contact Research IT.
Finally, have a look at the Themes pages offered by Methods@Manchester who used to offer NVivo training (and may again).
