Where can I find total stock market capitalisation (value) of a market or a country or an industry?

In Datastream, when choosing the ‘Data Category’, select ‘Equity Indices’ then find an index and datatype. Datastream covers country and regional total market indices such as: ‘TOTMKUK’, ‘TOTMKUS’, ‘TOTMKFR’ and the datatype Market Value/Cap (‘MV’ for local currency or ‘X(MV)~U$’ for US dollars).

In Bloomberg, type ‘WCAP’ and press Enter for a listing of market cap by country.
