How do I find data on futures, options and commodities?

Datastream offers data on international daily options, indices and commodities, and general economic indicators. When choosing the ‘Data Category’, select either ‘Derivatives’ (which branches out into futures and options) or ‘Commodities’.

In Bloomberg, to search commodities press the yellow ‘F9 CMDTY’ key.

Consider the following websites:

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) for commodity futures and financial market charts
U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for commodity statistics and information
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for mineral commodities
