Where can I get direction of trade statistics between countries?


In Datastream, when choosing the ‘Data Category’, select ‘Economics’. Use the ‘Explore’ feature to select the appropriate economics option under ‘Economics > International Historical Sources > IMF Direction of Trade Statistics’.

 

Consider the following websites:

  • On the International Monetary Fund (IMF) website, search for ‘Direction of Trade Statistics’ to view data on the value of merchandise exports and imports between each country and all its trading partners.
  • UN Comtrade for global annual imports and exports by commodity and country.
