In Datastream, when choosing the ‘Data Category’, select ‘Economics’. Type ‘population’ in the search box then select from the results list.

In Euromonitor Passport, go to ‘Consumers > Population’.

Consider the following websites:

• In the World Bank DataBank, in the ‘Explore databases’ section, type ‘World Development Indicators’ (WDI). Select desired countries, variables and time period. After selecting all variables, you can view a table, chart or map or download the data.
• United Nations data is available from United Nations Population Information Network and U.N. Demographic Yearbook.
• United Kingdom data is available from the Office of National Statistics.
• U.S. Census Bureau data is available from International Data Base (IDB).

• World Population Prospects are global demographic estimates and projections undertaken by the Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat.
