For my medical research I have to explain my search strategy and indicate what resources I have used. Do I say I searched Ovid/EBSCO/ProQuest, or name the specific database?

Ovid, EBSCO and ProQuest are platforms that each host a number of databases. It is more accurate to refer to the specific database especially where some databases such as Medline are available through several platforms. The platform names are usually found at the top of the search pages and can also be found under the database names on the A-Z List of databases.
