There is an Audio Visual room available in the Main Library for students to watch DVDs or listen to music.
How do I book the space?
Students and staff can book the designated space via Resource Booker in the same manner as our other Group Study Rooms. Search for ‘Main Library Audio Visual Collection Room.’
Details of how to access the space will be included in the confirmation email when you make a booking and instructions on using the equipment are available within the AV room.
Please note that this dedicated space is reserved exclusively for the use of these new AV facilities.
How do I find material to watch or listen to in the space?
The majority of our music and video collection can still be borrowed and do not have to be used exclusively in the Library space.
You can use Library Search to find material to use in the room. Simply change the "Material Type" field to either "Sound Recordings" or "DVDs". The majority of the Library’s DVD collection is housed close to the room in the Red 2 area.
Details of the full range of the Library’s streaming services for video and audio can be found through the database directory offered on the Library Subject Guides.
