Why is the book I’m looking for not in the location shown on the 'Locate This Book' map?
'Locate This Book' shows the location of the shelves where a book should be. If a book you are looking for is not on the shelf, someone else may be using it elsewhere in the library or it could have been returned very recently.
If you can't locate an item please:
- Speak to a member of Library staff. They can check to see when a book was returned which may help to locate the book.
- Try looking for the book on the shelf again at a later date. If the book is used by someone but not issued it will be returned to it's place on the shelf.
- You can request the book through Library Search. Library staff will attempt to find the book on your behalf and you will receive an email once it is ready to collect. The book will be held in our 'Collect Me' room located in the Main Library.
