How do I acccess e-books off campus?
Using your University username and password
Where possible, please use the link provided in Library Search to connect to the e-book platform as this will list content that you should have access to. After you have entered your University username and password on the University login pages, you will be directed back to the e-book platform.

Using Library Access
Library Access is a browser extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Microsoft Edge that makes it easier to access electronic resource content courtesy of The University of Manchester Library.
When you are off-campus, you can use the extension to read electronic journal articles, e-books, reviews and other online material provided by the Library without having to visit the Library website first.
Details on how to use Library Access can be found in the FAQs 'How do I use Library Access?' and 'How do I install Library Access?'.
Contact the Electronic Resources Helpdesk if you require further assistance.
