Cafés Inside our Library Sites

Main Library

In the Main Library there is Café at The Library Lounge located on Blue Ground selling Fairtrade hot drinks, sandwiches, soups and snacks. It's a place where you can unwind, relax and have something to eat and drink. The normal opening hours of the café are as follows:

• Monday to Friday: 9am to 4:30pm (Term time)

Vending machines are also available and they provide snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Alan Gilbert Learning Commons

The café located in the foyer of the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons serves a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks, snacks and much more whilst providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for refreshment.  Dishes are made fresh daily and where possible using vegetables sourced from farms in the local area making the ingredients the freshest available.  The normal opening hours are as follows:

• Term time
  Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
  Saturday to Sunday: 10am to 4pm
• Out of term
  Monday to Friday: 9.30 am to 8.30 pm
  Saturday to Sunday: 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

Cafés Near our Library Sites

Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre (based inside Manchester Central Library)

The café is based on the Ground Floor of Manchester Central Library.

Opening Times:

Monday to Thursday:  9am to 6.30pm
Friday to Saturday:  9am to 4.30pm

Art and Archaeology Library

The closest café can be found on the Blue Ground Floor inside Main Library.

SEED Student Support Hub and Library

There are external outlets next to the Humanities Bridgeford Street Building on the University Green. 

Eddie Davies Library

Cafe 65 (run by HospitalityOnCampus) is located on the Ground Floor in the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) Building. 

Opening Times: 

8am-4pm- (open all year round)

The Hive is located on the 2nd Floor in the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) Building.

Opening Times:

8.30am-3.30pm- (open term-time only)

Stopford Student Hub and Library

There are external outlets on Oxford Road next to the Stopford Building.
