Is there a multi-faith prayer space in the Library?


Although the Library itself does not have any rooms specifically for prayer, there are a number across campus that are free to use. The closest multi-faith prayer spaces to each Library Site can be found here:

Main Library, Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, and the Art and Archaeology Library

The closest multi-faith prayer spaces can be found in the University of Manchester Students Union. It is in Room 5 on the Second Floor.

Eddie Davies Library

The closest multi-faith prayer space can be found on the Second Floor in the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) in Room 2.014.

SEED Student Support Hub and Library

In AMBS on the Second Floor, Room 2.014. (Access into the Business School is granted to students studying on a Business or Finance Course)

In the University Dental Hospital of Manchester on the Second Floor. (You will need an NHS Card to be able to access this room)

In the University of Manchester Students Union, Room 5 on the Second Floor.

Stopford Student Hub and Library

The multi-faith prayer space can be found on the third floor in Room 3.240.

Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre (based inside Manchester Central Library)

There is a multi-faith prayer space on the Lower-Ground Floor. This is managed by Manchester City Council.

John Rylands Research Institute and Library

The closest prayer space is on the Lower Ground Floor inside Manchester Central Library.
