Visitors to key locations on campus can register for free Wi-Fi access with the University's guest Wi-Fi network - UoM_Guest.
It's easy to use - just connect to the UoM_Guest network on your laptop or mobile device, open your web browser and follow the onscreen instructions.
You can register with your Google, Facebook or Twitter account, or you can register via a text (SMS) message sent to your phone.
Note: Staff and students at the University should use the eduroam network instead, as this allows full access to University services in all locations across campus.
If you are currently a member of staff or student at another institution, and know that you are registered with the eduroam service at that institution, then it can also be used at The University of Manchester wherever the ‘eduroam’ wireless network is available. eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
If you are having difficulty connecting to the service, please contact your home institution IT Service Desk. If they are able to confirm that their eduroam profile is working correctly but you still cannot connect, please contact our IT Support Centre.
