I'm a member of staff at The University of Manchester, how do I access the library?


Your Staff ID card is your Library Card. You use this to:

  • Access the building (some sites have security gates where you will need to scan your card.)
  • Borrow library items
  • Borrow laptops or iPads 
  • To collect printing/make photocopies/scan to email

If you have lost/forgotten your card, you may obtain a temporary pass for that day from the Temporary Pass Kiosk found in in the entrance to Main Library or The Alan Gilbert Learning Commons.
