The University’s Research IT service provides specialised electronic research capabilities, supporting the University’s researchers to realise your aspirations and support you in conducting world leading, high impact research.
The team can provide you with access to a network of cutting-edge technology platforms and advanced skills encompassing high performance computing; software and data engineering; research data storage; and data visualisation and analytics.
Research IT provides the following services:
Research IT also maintains the CaDiR (Computation and Data in Research) community Teams space, the home of special interest groups and user groups from across the University that have a data and/or computational focus. This includes the Research Data Stewardship Community Teams channel, in addition to the Manchester Research Software Community and R User Group.
