Details and eligibility 

• Review and original research articles can be published immediately Open Access at no cost to the author 

• Agreement applies to peer-reviewed article types (full papers, communications, and reviews) 

• Agreement applies to all RSC subscription-based journals  

• Agreement applies to both funded and unfunded papers  

• Corresponding author must be affiliated with The University of Manchester  

• Deal covers full cost of Article Processing Charge (APC)  

• Agreement does not apply to Editorials or Corrections; or fully Open Access journals  

• This publisher’s portfolio spans the core chemical sciences and related fields 

How to access the agreement 

• During the submission process, the Corresponding Author must use their University email address to be identified as eligible for the deal  

• Papers identified as eligible for the deal through article type and institutional email will be automatically published Open Access 

• If the paper acknowledges funding from UKRI, the Wellcome Trust, CRUK or BHF, please ensure that the CC-BY licence is selected to ensure compliance with funders' Open Access policies
